Cyberbullying

Welcome!

How often does cyberbullying occur?

The Centers for Disease Control says that 15.5% percent of high schoolers are affected by a form of cyberbullying. To see the comparision, 20% of students are bullied during school. It is said that children with a disability, LBGTQ+, and children that are obese have a higher chance of getting bullied. Cyberbullying gives children a bigger platform to bully others and they can bully others from anywhere which is one of the bgiggest reasons that this needs to be heard.

There are many differents ways kids can connect. Sadly with all of these different ways to communticate, the chance of cyberbullying is much higher. Examples of this technology is Kik Messenger and and Yik Yak. One of the most intresting part of this communication is that some are anonymous.
